BREAKFAST CAKE (Velvet Crumb Cake)

Bisquick Box


1 ½ cups Bisquick
½ cup sugar
1 egg
½ cup milk or water
2 Tbsp. shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
Topping:

½ cup flaked coconut
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
¼ cup chopped nuts
3 Tbsp. softened butter
2 Tbsp. milk


Pour into a greased 8x8x2 pan. Bake at 375º for 30 minutes. Cool slightly, and then spread with topping. Broil about 3” inches from heat for 3 minutes or until topping is golden brown.
