GINGERBREAD

Cream together:

2 cups shortening
2 cups granulated sugar

Add and mix together:

2 cups light molasses
4 beaten eggs

Mix together then add to molasses mixture:

12 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. ginger
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt

Mix thoroughly. Roll out to about 3/8” thick. Cut into desired shapes and bake at 375ยบ for 12 to 15 minutes. Allow to cool completely before handling. Drying out slightly will make it easier to handle without breaking. If any part needs trimming, it can be done easily while they are still hot.
